Although he looks like a lunatic that escaped to hurt the kids, Dominic Deville is just an ordinary guy doing his regular job. He works as an evil clown for hire, who stalks young victims for one week, making prank phone calls, sending scary text messages, attacks them with a pie to the face, and stalking them from a distance. And just like any other job, he gets paid for doing this.

Reports say that horror films inspired Deville to launch this lucrative business in Lucerne, Switzerland, which he calls Evil Clown. As part of the services he offer, he wears an evil clown costume and scares kids for one week.

The whole week, he stalks his “prey” from a distance. He warms them that they are always being watched and that they will be attacked any time soon. He told Metro, “The child feels more and more that he is being pursued, the clown’s one and only aim is to smash a cake into the face of his victim, when they least expect it, during the course of seven days”. If they manage to avoid it, they receive the cake as a reward.

According to Deville, all the scare and fun can be stopped at any time, especially if the victim gets too scared or the parents so demand. He said, “The clown will never break into a residence or show up at work. ‘It’s all in fun and if, at any point, the kids get scared or their parents are concerned, we stop right there'”.
He also added that it almost never happens because most of the kids love being frightened.
