Many teenagers spend their years playing soccer or preparing for SATs. Jordan McKnight, however, has her own priorities – training as a contortionist.
Contortion is defined as a “performance art in which performers showcase their skills of extreme physical flexibility”. Though this is not a mainstream art, it has caught the attention of lots of people.

Two years ago, McKnight and her family migrated to Las Vegas, so that she could spare more of her time training with the best coaches in the world, such as Cirque du Soliel performers. She started performing as a gymnast in New York City and later became a member of the Youth National Team. She has since performed in a number of countries, including Russia, China, and Spain.
McKnight, who recently auditioned for NBC’s America’s Got Talent, has the ability to perform five unique contortion disciplines, which include hand balancing, twisting, dislocation, back bending and front bending.
