Two men who wanted to go through the pain of childbirth underwent a labor simulation meant to mimic contractions experienced by women with funny results.

In celebration of Mother’s Day, the men, from Troy, Michigan, contacted gynecologist Dr Julie Masters and video their experience.
‘I’m going to throw up,’ says one man in front of his wife, who was in the room watching the labor simulation.
The video follows the men as they have electrodes attached to their abdomens, which simulate contractions – ‘and what your wife went through Staring with ‘early labor,’ a two or three on the during labor,’ explains Dr Masters. doctor’s pain scale, the men squirm and ‘breath through it.’

Same experiment done in China
A hospital in the city of Jinan in eastern China hooking men up to a child-birth simulator to see what their wives go through.
Most of the volunteers are husbands of pregnant women.
The hospital said they want to show men how much women suffer going through childbirth, to give men greater appriciation for what women go through.
The event meant to creating awareness and respect for childbearing women, highlighting the entire laborious nine-month process leading up to birth, a hospital spokesman said.
To recreate the pain and contractions of childbirth, hospital technicians stimulate the men’s abdomens with electric shocks to make it contract.
