15. The Big Comfy Couch (1992–2007)
This was a Canadian comedy show targeted to kids, and it featured Loonette who, along with her doll Molly, solves daily life problems on their “big comfy couch.”
16. Boy Meets World (1993–2000)
This American TV sitcom ran on ABC Network from 1993 to 2000, for a total of seven seasons. It chronicled the life of Cory Matthews and his friends, family members, and teachers. The show takes its protagonist through middle school, high school, and college, and it is best known for its main onscreen couple of Cory and Topanga.
17. Reading Rainbow (1983–2006)
This is a half-hour educational show that ran on PBS Kids from 1983 to 2006, or a total of 21 seasons or 155 episodes. Each episode would focus on a certain topic, which would then be explored through different segments or stories.
18. Cow and Chicken (1995–2004)
This show is known for mixing elements of surreal humor, slapstick, and slice of life to its narrative about its titular characters, Cow and Chicken, who happen to be siblings and who are often terrorized by an antagonist named Red Guy.
19. Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996–2003)
Melissa Joan Hart starred in two massively popular shows during the ‘90s, and this was the second of them. Her character is Sabrina Spellman, who discovers that she has magical powers on her sixteenth birthday. She lives with her two aunts, who also happen to be witches, and their magical talking cat named Salem.
20. Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1990–2000)
Anyone who followed this show back in the ‘90s remembers the iconic line that would start each story: “Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story [story’s name],” and how at which point the person saying the line would toss a handful of magical dust into the campfire. This horror anthology TV series featured a group of teenagers who would band together in a forest at midnight and tell each other chilling tales. For many of us who grew up in the ‘90s, this show was one of the best.
