Here is a Unique DIY Pokeball Duct Tape Rose …This is so Cool!

For all of you who are a big fan of the popular game and anime series Pokemon, you’ll definitely fall in love with the Pokeball Duct Tape Rose.

The Pokeball is an iconic symbol of the whole franchise—well, perhaps, second most iconic to Pikachu, of course. Even after twenty years, the Pokemon franchise is still very popular. Its fame never seems to fade, and it still remains as one of the most memorable and iconic video games in the whole world.

With that in mind, here is an art project that is inspired from Pokemon itself. This will be a step-by-step tutorial on how to make the Duct Tape Pokeball Rose.

Step 1: Materials

Cutting Tool (like a Xacto Knife) $1 at Staples

Duct Tape (Red, Black, White, and Green) $3.50 each at Wal-Mart

Wooden Dowel (1/8 inch diameter) about $1 at Lowes

Reference picture (Free online)

Total Cost: $16

First of all, gather your materials, especially the reference picture. You’ll be needing the reference picture so you could have an accurate replica as much as possible. You can also use a pencil or pen, if you prefer it over the dowel.

Step 2: Stem Construction

Use a piece of green duct tape, then cut it at a little more than the length of the stem. Fully wrap your dowel or pencil with green duct tape. You can expect that the ends will have some excess, which you can cut vertically and fold inwards, or you can cut off the ends and put a piece of duct tape over them. You need to have the tape stopped at the end of the yellow line and just leave the tip exposed. Then cut and fold over the eraser side. If you happen to use a pen, just do the same steps as the pencil.

Step 3: Petals

For the petals, just cut a piece of white duct tape to approximately two inches. Then fold it over twice to create a pointed tip that will serve as the petal. Next, wrap the petal around the stem. You can also add more white pieces and fold them around the stem to make the Pokeball’s middle. Then do the same thing with a black duct tape, which is for the outer layer of the the Pokeball. Add some more black duct tapes to serve as the divider between the colors, and include some red and white petals as well. You can also make two green petals and wrap them around the bottom of the rose for an additional effect on the stem.

Congratulations! You now have your very own Pokeball Duct Tape Rose! Now the only thing left to do is to show this off to your friends!
