The steam powered Stanley Runabout was fast enough to zoom past the slowpokes in their one-horse carriages.

This was the best and fastest car in the world. It was made in Indiana in 1928.

1930-1939 | Duesenberg Model SJ | 140 mph
Duesenberg came out with a suped up version of the Model J. In 1932, the Model SJ was released with a speed of 140 mph.
1940-1949 | Jaguar XK 120 | 126 mph
Jaguar became known for their state of the art engines that let drivers go up to speeds of 120 mph.
1950-1959 | Aston Martin DB4 GT | 153 mph
The Aston Martin exudes supreme class and luxury. With its top speeds making you the fastest person on the road, it’s no wonder why James Bond prefers this car.
1960-1969 | Ferrari 365 GTB/4 “Daytona” | 174 mph
The V12 engine of this car makes it a classic Ferrari. At one point, it was the world’s fastest car.
1970-1979 | Ferrari GT4 Berlinetta Boxer | 175 mph
Ferrari claimed this car could do 188 mph, but in various tests it only averaged between 174 and 175 mph. This was still enough for it to be fastest for the decade.
