While most millionaires buy expensive houses and fancy cars, a Chinese businessman spent millions to build a new town in his old village.
Chinese businessman Xiong Shuihua has made millions over the course of a successful career in the construction industry. He was born in a small village in southern China, where he had his humble beginnings.
Xiong is now a multimillionaire and is planning to return to Xiongkeng to bulldoze the old huts of his hometown and build a new one that’s even better. He has always spoken highly of the people who have since been supporting him and his family, pledging to do what he can to repay them, and for him, the time has come for him to do it.
A Brand-New Town
Finally, the old houses and other worn-out structures are now being destroyed to build new luxury apartments and villas for the residents of the small town. Xiong spent millions of dollars in the new village, and as a result, a total of ninety families were given new homes.

I earned more money than I knew what to do with, and I didn’t want to forget my roots. I always pay my debts and wanted to make sure the people who helped me when I was younger and my family were paid back,” Xiong said.

And if that wasn’t enough, he also pays for three meals a day for the village’s elderly residents.
