Happy Birthday Colada
There’s nothing wrong with the average birthday cake with a few candles stuck into it, but as we get older it’s nice to spice things up once in a while! With that being said, the best way to spice anything up is: Adding alcohol! Grab your best friends, family members or whoever you’re going to be celebrating with and mixed up some of these appealing, colorful drinks for the next birthday in your life! You can use any frozen concoction you’d like, dazzle it with some cake accessories and let the party begin. We used Cake and Marshmallow vodka and some strawberry spirits, but you can use Tequila as well. If you are going to actually light the candles, I suggest you steer clear of any 151 rums unless you want the firemen to come join the festitives. Let’s start making these cocktails that your guests will never forget!
What you’ll need:
1.5 oz. Cake Vodka
1.5 oz. Marshmallow Vodka
1.5 oz Strawberry Rum
1.5 oz. Strawberry Pucker
4 oz. Pina Colada Mix
1 oz. Grenadine
1 oz. Lime Juice
1 tray of ice
1 tbsp. Marshmallow Topping
2 tbsp. Colored Sprinkles
(These kinds work the best)
Whipped Cream
Birthday Candles (optional)
(Makes 2 decent sized drinks)
How to:
Put the Marshmallow topping in a saucer and dip the rim of a Margarita glass through it. Then, on a separate plate, tap the coated rim through the Nonpareils to cover the rim with them. Place the glass in the freezer while you build the drink. Next, put all of the liquid ingredients and ice into a blender. Blend on high for about 4 minutes. Grab the glass from the freezer and spoon in your frozen Colada. Add some Whipped Cream, sprinkle some more fun stuff over the top, and insert your candles. If you’re going to light the candles, that needs to be done right before you present the drinks, as the candles will start to melt and drip. It takes a little bit of work and concentration, but I’m sure the birthday girl or boy will never forget getting a……Birthday Colada. Cheers!
