The cucamelon is a fruit that looks like a melon but is around the same size of a grape. You might think that it’s a hybrid, but it’s not. The fruit was first found in Central America and Mexico. It is also known as the sour gherkin or mouse melon. They say that it tastes like sour cucumbers, if that even makes any sense.

The hardy kiwi is grown in the wild in Japan, Siberia, Korea, and China. Its scientific name is Actinida arguta, and just like the first fruit on the list, it’s also as big as a grape. Although their furry counterpart is bigger in size, the hardy kiwi is sweeter and it’s also fuzz-free.

The Sweet Granadilla

The sweet granadilla is a yellow fruit from Colombia. Its inside looks like a black gelatinous blob. Whether its taste is good or bad is definitely up to you. Why? Because its taste is similar to that of the foam banana sweets from pick ‘n mix. If you enjoy those foam banana sweets, then good for you! If not, then you might need to sit this one out.

The cherimoya, aka the custard apple, looks like an oversized pear or apple. The fruit originated in South America and California, and it’s pretty popular among the locals due to its creamy texture and sweet taste. Mark Twain himself even called it “the most delicious fruit known to man.”
