Barrett got completely hooked to the sport that she even started joining competitions. She has been participating in weightlifting events for a year now. Once, she even placed in a Strongest Woman event in England, where she’s hoping win the title for the under 63 kilos category.

Barrett never imagined herself doing weightlifting. But now she’s trying to juggle her time between being a nursery staff member and being a mother to Kayla while still doing trainings.

As to what her daughter has to say about it, Barrett said, “Kayla thinks I’m crazy for doing what I’m doing, but she loves it and she finds it quite funny when I’m pulling cars.”
