In 2008, British artist Luke Jarram started a project called “Play me, I’m yours” where fifteen outdoor pianos were strategically placed in different public places throughout the city so people can play. The movement was to encourage spontaneous communication with strangers through music and it was found out that the project has gathered more than 140,000 people to play and listen to the players since it was launched.
After its huge success, more than 1,000 pianos were sent to thirty seven different cities around the world and street pianos started to come forth in different places in the globe.
Let us travel around the world and check out twenty of the coolest outdoor pianos that you can play without spending a single dime as part of this marvelous project.
