Although they started as mere modified form of breads, cakes have been reformed to something that is more elaborate and, perhaps, more creative. And now, parties are not even a party without their presence. Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries—they all demand for cakes.
But some people find the usual round, layered sweet boring. Although the taste can differ every time, the face does not really its fair taste of change. Baker Mike McCarey from Redmond, Washington, does not want to fail people who want a little spice for their cakes, so he made cakes that surpass your most imaginative idea of this baked food.
Since Mike started his company Mike’s Amazing Cakes, it has been gaining a lot of attention for the way his creations looked. Mike himself said that his cake art is guided by two principles: the concept being presented should be as accurate and true to life or as animated as possible and should have as unique a perspective as can be conjured up.
He has Lord of the Rings–inspired cake and a Casablanca-based one. One looks like a place in Venice, and another one depicts Rome. Mike McCarey indeed never runs out of ideas for his next masterpiece.
