Although typical people love to spend their vacation on sandy beaches, where they can play with salty waters and enjoy the summer sun, thrill-seekers would always prefer the experience of sliding down a tall and exciting waterslide that takes them through wave pools or cold waters. 1. Caribbean Bay, Samsung Everland

The Caribbean Bay is among Asia’s largest waterparks. It became a popular destination for tourists and locals because of the 4 Dueling Aqualoops, the first of its kind in the continent.

Located in Berlin, the Tropical Islands is an amazing water park that is believed to be the biggest free-standing structure in the world. Dubbed as the largest indoor water park on the planet, this German water park boasts a beautiful facility that includes a free-fall tower ride, 50,000 plants, balloon rides, and an aerial acrobatics show.

Formerly known as Beijing’s Olympic aquatic center, the Happy Magic was originally built for the 2008 Summer Olympics. When the games were over, it was transformed into an impressive indoor water park. Among its famous attractions are the SilkTek Translucent flume and the heart-thumping drop from the AquaLaunch.

Aquaventure, a water park found on Atlantis Paradise Island, features a breath-taking high-speed water slides built inside a Mayan temple, a river ride with wave surges, refreshing swimming pools and lot more. It also has a three Master Blaster water coasters, and a tunnel slide that takes you through a shark-filled lagoon.

Dubbed as America’s largest water park, Noah’s Ark features 51 slides, which include the Black Anaconda water coaster, a shoot-the-chutes water ride, the Scorpion’s Tail looping slide, and a dive-in movie theater. It is located in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, the water park capital of the world.

The Yas Waterworld is a water park in the United Arab Emirates that comes with an Arabian fantasy theme. This $245 million worth water park boasts a pair of stationary wave machines, two water coasters, a water dropping suspended roller coaster, a SplashQuest interactive game, and a looping slide.

Found in Alberta inside the West Edmonton Mall, the indoor water park features a Thunderbolt sled slide, a zipline, a simulated surfing, and an Aqualoop looping slide.

8. Aquatica

Aquatica is SeaWorld’s hybrid water park concept, built in Orlando, Florida. It features a marine park with a water park, where visitors can interact with various animals and zip down in see-through water slides.

Known as the largest water park in Asia, the Chimelong Water park is famed for debuting many firsts in the industry and for its international standards. It has a water coaster, dive-in Samba shows, and a lazy river that goes through a snow tunnel.

Found in New Braunfels, Texas,  Schlitterbahn has been recognized as the best water park in the world for 10 years in a row by Amusement Business. This 65-acre water park boasts several Master Blaster water coasters, a natural spring-fed tube slide, and a stationary wave machine.

Walt Disney’s Typoon Lagoon is the world’s most visited water park, with over 2 million visitors each year. Its most famous attraction is the Crush ‘n Gusher water that opened in 2005.

12. Siam Park

Found in the Canary Islands, the Siam Park is famous for its Tower of Power slide that takes you through a tank filled of stingrays and sharks, a river rafting ride, and a 10-feet wave pool.

Found on Porto das Dunas, the Beach Park is a Brazilian water park that is known for having the tallest and fastest water slide in the world. Aside from that, it is known for its Kalafrio halfpipe tube slide.

14. Wild Wadi

The Wild Wadi is a water park in Dubai that features eight Master Blaster water coasters, a heated and cooled wave pool, a free-fall water slide, and a pair of stationary wave machines.

Wet ‘n Wild Water World is a water park in Australia that is set to open four looping transparent slides. Its speed reaches up to 60 kilometers per hour.

Found on Sicily Island, the Etnaland features a variety of theme-park rides, which include the Jungle Splash shoot-the-chutes ride, a Dragon River log flume, and a Crocodile rapides ride.

Found along a river about 30 miles west of Innsbruck, Area 47 is an outdoor adventure water park that features a tower of water slides. For the visitors to enter the waters, they have to leap a 30-foot tall diving platform, jump from a rooftop onto an inflated Blobbing tube, or race down a steep snowboard ramp.

Situated inside the Holiday World theme park, the Splashin’ Safari is famous for the Wildebeest Water coaster.

Blizzard Beach is another Walt Disney Water park found in Orlando, Florida. It is known for its melting ski resort theme, longest white-water rapids raft ride, and its tallest and fastest slide.

The Water World is a water park in Denver that features a Mile High Flyer water coaster, Voyage to the Center of the Earth and Lost River of the Pharaohs-themed interiors, and the Screamin’ Mimi toboggan plunge.

Even if some think water park destinations are not great destinations, the water parks on this list are definitely worth a visit.
