19 Sensational Large-Scale Sculptures of Florentijn Hofman

Every one of us went through childhood, and suddenly the process of growing up takes it away, as the child slowly copes up inside and dies until that part of us is gone forever.

But Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman was set on a journey to remind us that the kid is still in there, just hiding and sleeping in the most secluded corner of our mind. With his artistic capabilities, he built enormous sculptures of ordinary things that were scaled into a larger size (even bigger than us humans).

Florentijn’s mission began last 2002 to recapture each and every one of our childhood memories. Here are some of his works of art that were scattered all over the world. Some were even inspired by pop culture references.
