Since the 1970’s, the rainbow flag has been used by LGBT community to represent gay pride as it reflects the diversity of lesbians, gay, bisexual and transgender in the society. It was designed by artist Gilbert Baker from Northern California and has undergone several revisions since then. After the legalization of same-sex marriage just a couple of weeks ago, the rainbow symbol reappears not just through the vibrant lights that illuminated the White House but also in Facebook where supporters of the new law painted their profile photos with rainbow colored background.
Rainbow fashion also starts to emerge from nowhere, from rainbow colored hair to prism nails, the LGBT flag is sweeping the fashion industry with rage. If you are one of those who find the new law a great news and you want to support your gay friends with their noble quest aside from changing your profile picture in Facebook, you can do so by wearing the rainbow trend.
Wear the trend stylishly with a cause with these 12 rainbow outfits spotted on the runway to celebrate gay pride.
